How would I do this??

Wondering if anyone could help. I want to make something that would have little doors, like the attached pictures.

The plan is to make it out of thin plywood. Does anyone know how I could attach these little doors? The doors in the photos attached don't have any obvious hinge, so I don't know if they're attached through a hidden mechanism.

Would gluing a couple of pieces of ribbon to the door and to the inside of each box work? You would need 2 so that it didn't twist when open. I think it might work better being attached to the outside of the door so that when it's open there's not a gap between the box and the door

Or, looking at the thickness of the doors, maybe a thin metal rod? So a rod running vertically down through the doors and gaps between the doors to act as a hinge IYSWIM
