Need advice on adjusting a shop bought knit :-)

I've already posted in Style & Beauty because I didn't realise this board existed.

I have just bought my dream slouchy v neck cashmere jumper...except the cuffs are too loose (they are knitted deliberately wide as part of the design). Is there any way I can gather in the cuff to make it slightly less flappy/annoying? I was thinking perhaps shirring elastic? I'm a skilled sewer but absolutely no clue with knits.
Thanks!

Loads of videos on YouTube for this, this one gives 2 options that might work

I'm not good at sewing, but the technique in the video is shirring.
If you do it I'd make the rows nearer each other. It might be easier to take it in at the seam

@Metellaestinhortobibit @KirstenBlest Thanks both. Both of those techniques make sense. I think the shirring version might be better as the cuff needs to reduce by about a third. Will give it a try tomorrow. It looks like they are using regular sewing thread & not shirring elastic.
