What do you use to melt the wax? A specific hot plate for candle making or on your stove?

Im starting up again after a few years and have seen the hot plate but just wondering if it’s worth the money?

thanks

It depends on the quantity of wax you'll be melting. If its 1kg or less you could use a mental jug in a Bain marie on an induction hob. If larger quantities, most start ups use a soup kettle which will hold around 5kg or even a slow cooker.
You could probably do with joining some of the UK candle making groups on Facebook
