Product photography help - which camera?

I'm starting a ceramics shop on etsy and understand the importance of good product photography. I have available to me the following smartphones and camera:

Samsung Galaxy A20e smartphone
Google Pixel 4 smartphone
Samsung Galaxy EC-GC100 camera

The A20e has a pro mode. The Pixel doesn't (but I understand its still a good camera?). The EC-GC100 camera is nearly 10 years old - are today's smartphones better?

I'm happy to put in the time learning and experimenting with whichever camera I go with, but was wondering if anyone can advise on which one will ultimately serve me best (or whether the differences will be so minor as to not matter). Thanks in advance!

I have no experience with any of them, but I’d probably opt for the camera if I had to choose. That is based on its optical zoom and (relatively) powerful flash.

Why not do a few shoots and compare the results?

Thanks - I've compared the Pixel and A20e, and the Pixel is slightly better (but that's when in the default settings - I haven't learned enough to know what parameters to adjust). I haven't tried the camera as its been in a drawer for the last 10 years so I'd need to find the charger first! But yes, a head-to-head comparison is probably what I need to do......

A smart phone would be fine for what you want to do. Food mode gives a decent macro (close up shot). Better to focus on staging, composition and good lighting I'd say. Natural daylight is great but in the winter a softbox can help. Try and create a style of image that is consistent throughout your shop.
