How to make umbrellas look nicer for wedding?

My sister gets married in just over 2 weeks and we are forecast rain for the whole week (not in UK).

The wedding will likely be moved indoors but she would like guests to have the opportunity to explore the grounds (if the wish) and also not be stood out in the rain waiting for taxis etc.

Her BIL (to be) runs a hardware shop and has given her 25 small black umbrellas, which I think will be perfect, it's a small wedding with 25 day guests and 50 evening guests.

We are thinking of ways to make them look nicer for the wedding but fairly cheap if possible.

I have a printer and can get most things delivered here from Amazon prime.

Does anyone have any ideas? Of course just having the umbrellas in a basket by the doors is always an option but I thought I'd ask to see if anyone crafty has any other ideasSmile

Unfortunately the only option I've seen is clear ones so they're not so obvious in photos. I think if you're going black just a couple of nice buckets by the door and a sign saying to help themselves for a wander will be plenty.

Thanks @Isonthecase I know exactly what you mean about having the clear ones, they were just so expensive my sister couldn't justify the cost, the wedding has been done very much 'on a budget' but it still looks beautiful.

I think basket and sign will be the way we go with it, I was wondering about a small vinyl transfer onto the umbrella, but I'm not sure if that will wrinkle while the umbrellas are folded and look daft anyway.

I wouldn't bother sticking anything to the umbrella. That could end up looking worse when it's wet/been opened and closed multiple times.

A nice bucket/basket and a sign saying help yourself will be lovely.

Yep, agreed to just go plain then. It's lovely having a wedding stay fairly simple!

Thanks both that's perfect, I agree I was probably overthinking it! Things can get so elaborate with weddings it's difficult to avoid wanting the 'Pinterest' kind of look Smile

You could make a bead charm to attach to the handles, maybe with bride & groom's names, or the date?
