Question about reading a knitting pattern

My pattern says to repeat the two pattern rows until 10 stitches remain, then cast off. The first pattern row is the reduce row, so I'll reach 10 stitches on that row. So do I cast off instead of repeating the second pattern row? The second row is simply K1, P to last st, K1.

Complete both rows(the reduce row and the purl row) then cast off.

What are you making?

Sorry, should've said, that's what I'd do , but happy to be corrected!

I think you should cast off instead of going the second pattern row

A jacket for a teddy. This is the raglan shaping of the back.

I would complete both rows and then cast off, you will then be casting off on a knit row (assuming it's stocking stitch) so it'll look a neater finish
