Hi,

I want to buy enough curtain material to make two pairs of eyelet curtains.

The curtains need to be 90x90 for each window
Each track is 3 metres
Pattern repeat is 64cm
Width is 137cm

Can anyone tell me how many metres I need to buy, please?

Each curtain needs to be 90” x90”
convert to metric = 230cm
4 drops =9.12mtrs
plus hems 1 mtr
plus poss 3 pattern repeats 1.80
I would say 12 metres

Although Dunelm fabric calculator says 16mtr.
I think they are putting much more fullness in.
I would have thought 2 drops per curtain enough.

And… I just re-read. You need 4 curtains in total.
2 windows.
my initial calculation was for one window do double that = 24mtrs

@Trumpton Can I ask you what "drops" means?
Trying to learn a bit about fabric and sewing.

“Drops” means lengths of fabric.
so for very narrow windows you might need just one drop of 137cm wide fabric.
your windows are wider so you will need to join two lengths ( or drops) to make your fabric effectively 274cm wide.

Thank you! Makes sense!
