Sewing Box Subscription

My DH just bought me a 3 month subscription to the Sew Hayley Jane box for my birthday 😀 I have lusted over it for a while, but felt I couldn’t justify the cost for myself. I fear the items I’d actually use (fabric, cotton etc) would cost me less if I bought them separately. Also, I never buy Fat Quarters, as I’m not into making little household items and don’t know what I’d use them for. They are in some beautiful prints though. When I see the SHJ boxes on YouTube, tgey do look lovely/ I know I’d really enjoy it as a gift. I really like the sound of the little magazine.

Anyone else had this, or other sewing subscription boxes. I’d love to hear the views of others on the boxes, whether or not you are into them.

I'm a subscriber to a dressmaking box littlemisssewnsew.co.uk/products/my-guilty-pleasure-all-set-to-sew-dressmaking-club

It is, as the name suggests, heavily biased to dresses, but you do make trousers and blouses. It's ok value - if you cost out the retail price for the pattern + material you are generally in the clear, but then again, I probably wouldn't buy full priced fabric all the time. The correct thread is included and any buttons etc. that are needed. I like that I can choose the project (from a choice of 2) and then the material so it isn't a complete surprise.
