I JUST can't get this bit:

Chain four, join with slipstich to join a circle: Okay, done this!

work sc, ch 4 in
loop
8 times: Baffled!

So I worked one SC (i.e. went in two stiches along yadayada), then 4 chain in loop... does this mean four chain, join them in a circle again? I'm sure this is really simple but I'm still scratching my head and it's looking very strange!

PLEASE HELP Oh crafty ones!!!!

Many, many thanks!

Have you tried finding a vid on youtube? That helped me.

You work the sc (which means dc in Britain) into the hole you've made in the centre when you slip stitched your chains together.

It means

  • work a single / double crochet, then 4 chain - you work the sc into the loop, it'll make a sort of flower petal shape ...
