But after a night of insomnia and a day of dozing I wasn't sew!

My favourite time to craft. Just depends if the noise will disturb others.

I love night time creativity!

Unless he is the one who is sewing he can butt out or let you have time off from earlier in the evening to get the needle out....

So do I and while itvdoesnt disturb DH - my sewing machine is next to DD & her bf so I have to be quiet

I guess tidying upon cutting out are acceptable or even some ironing () worst bit of dressmaking!

He never stops me, just worries it will cause more insomnia I yhink

Anytime, any day for me. I am an avid cross stitcher and it helps me relieve copious ammounts of stress. If you want to do an hour. Do it.

I did a couple of hours cut out and assembled a bodice

Needs boning and finishing tomorrow (maybe) and I have several ufos to do too

Do you remember that UFO thread we were on ages ago? I finally finished dd's quilt I started in 2010.
Most of that was quite late.

I think the trick with insomnia is sometimes to keep yourself busy with a calm 'flow state' activity until you feel a bit tired.

Gosh when was that? I still have tonnes of ufos I am really bad for it!

I've got to set up for a wedding fair later and I need to write some copy.....that's possibly worse than ironing

By the time the kids are in bed and I've got tidied up from the chaos of the day its often heading towards 10 before I start.

I have one rule though. No buttonholes or collar stands after 10pm

no buttonholes ever !!!

I dumped last nights adventure and finished 4 ufos - 3 children's dresses and and adult waistcoat/coat thingie
