Adding definition on a tapestry

I have a tapestry and it could do with some gold accents/definition

I wondered about using a gold pen/sharpie or maybe a gold nail pen

I want a slightly 3 d effect what should I use?

Is it a tapestry you have made?

Or one you have that you want to work gold into?

Id buy some gold thread and practise some stitches to get the look of a thicker 3D effect with thread.

You can also add French bullion wire with thread.

But I wouldn't add pen or polish.

It's to go on the back of a jacket to sell so I can only really spend about an hour on it

I do goldwork and beading but they take longer and would put the price up too much I think

It just needs definition round the head/eye/wing
