Crocheting a name on a star blanket

Hi everyone, quite a specific question! Has anyone crocheted a name onto a 12 point star blanket? I managed to get 1 letter done last night and then realised it’s on the wrong side 😭 I would love to see pictures if any of you have done it.

We're just bumping this thread for you, @frazzled101, in case anyone's around to give you some advice.

How many letters in the name? I'd put one letter into each segment so that they go round in a (part!) circle. I've never done it though!

I cheat and gwt names printed on a button from FunkyLime on Facebook and sew the button on!

@Red the buttons are great - that pic doesn't do them justice at all as I zoomed in on a blanket pic I had on my phone

The buttons are class! I think I've given up the idea of crocheting the name as I don't want it to ruin the blanket.
