New Year's Crafting Resolutions

Aside from the usual get fit, lose weight and be a better friend/mother/wife/human I thought about writing a list of crafting resolutions and/or to do list.

mine are
-try to do something creative every day. (painting, beading, knitting, sketching, or writing, anything to keep the creativity from dying.)

  • learn to sew (becuse there are so many beatiful sewing crafters out there and I want to learn to make something of my own.)
  • consider selling my crafts and enter the world of etsy or similar

anyone else?

Good idea ! Mine are :

To properly look into registering as a business if I am going to continue to make beady things to sell and therefore get my website looking decent!

To properly get to grips with something BEFORE I decide to learn something different

make some PROGRESS with knitting - maybe find an easy pattern to get used to dpns or circulars, or in some way push myself beyond scarves and iPod cosies that nobody in their right mind would use . . . just learn some new knitting skills really

any suggestions for idiot-proof patterns suitable for person who knits like a not very able 3 year old?

To finish some of the many cross stitch projects that I have ongoing....
And to learn about Stumpwork! I bought a book last month, now if only I could find the time to read it!!

I wasn't going to have any resolutions....but I should really get more organised.

Mine are;

:: Spend one full day a week crafting (as well as more time when I want to/need to), and ban the computer for that day so I can get things done in better time, and not flap about like a headless chicken worrying that I haven't finished this that or the other.

:: Learn to sew properly - patterns and things like that, and not just things I make up in my head

:: Buy what I need, not what I want....my fabric stash is getting horribly out of control, I have banned myself from buying any new fabric until February at the earliest.
