making crochet blankets for charity shops

I enjoy making crochet blankets - something easy to do with my hands in the evening - but I definitely don't need any more myself and my family don't want them.
I was wondering about making some cot blankets and giving a bundle to a charity shop to sell, as I think they could make a nice display and might be quite sellable. Plus they wouldn't take too long to make.
Is that a good idea, or would I be wasting my time?

I know that you can make things for the NHS, but, tbh, having seen how little my daughter in law valued the crocheted baby blanket that she came out of hospital with, that some kind person had spent hours on, I wouldn't want to bother. She's a lovely young woman, but I don't think people value things that they're given for free.

Thank you! I've always been aware of Woolly Hugs but never looked at it - what a mistake. I am now sorted.

There are various charities and organisations who collect crochet/knitted items for babies born sleeping. Sands is one. ♥

A friend crochets blankets for her local homeless shelter, if you have a similar charity near you, you could ask if they would like some blamkets?

There is a charity called KAS (Knit A Square), rubbish at links but they are on Facebook.
