quilting question(s)

I am a novice quilter - I have done a bit in a club whre we used to live and liked it a lot, and now want to make a quilt with dd's baby clothes. Can I use her old sleep suits or is stretchy cotton a nightmare? I was going to paper piece and hand sew, but I do have a machine. Also, does anyone have any good websites for block ideas?

Never quilted but stretchy cotton or jersey are right b**ards to sew. Stabilizer and ball point needles on the sewing machine are the only way to go.
