Fixing Intarsia knitting

SpottyBumPony · 05/12/2021 21:36

I'm knitting myself a jumper and using Intarsia for the first time.

Last night I didn't wrap my yarn properly when I changed colour one row so I found a hole today. I unpicked a couple of rows to get back but is there a way to fix it without unpicking if I do it again?

Get into the habit of always picking up the new colour from underneath the old one, this automatically links them. You can close the hole by sewing from behind later. If you look at the back of your knitting you can see how the good joins are linked and work out where to sew the unlinked strands together with matching sewing thread or something.

Unpick back to a row without intarsia. It will be worth it.
