Need Advice On Crochet Hooks

I have lost my daughter's pencil case of hooks ( left the bag on the bus)

I need to replace them quickly what is the best set out there is this any good? ( I do not crochet and want to tell her and then give her an replacement kit) she had a metal ones before but I know she was lusting after soft touch ones

For ergonomic hooks there are lots of opinions on the best but the consensus generally comes down to clover armour vs tulip etimo. Other popular hooks are knit pro wave, addi curve and clover soft touch. It’s such a personal preference, especially with the contorted hooks that you are better off trying one in your favourite size before investing in the whole set! Sorry I know that’s not super helpful.

Yes agree with PP it's very much personal preference. Would you be able to give her a few single hooks of different brands to try, with the offer of a larger set of the ones she prefers? So many people love the Clover but I couldn't get on with them at all, so it would unfortunately be a very expensive waste of money for someone to buy me a set of them. I love the Tulip Etimo

I have a set basically the same as that and they are good. The handles are comfy to hold and the hooks are smooth. So a good choice to get.

It is a good idea to try a selection of different hooks but if she wants to do some crochet before Xmas she will probably need a set so she can use any size she needs.
