Want scrapbook not one of those things where you stick the photos in pvc pockets

I am NOT a scrapbooker or a cardster, I am feeling out of my depth.

This is me whittling down every photo of the kids and me to date as an Xmas present for dp, I want it to look nice.

Any thoughts good.

you can't, not really I don't think - but you could do a series of them?

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2007 09:55

how are you btw? I never know if I am allowed to 'speak' to you or not

I have my scan today [collywobbles]

MrsBadger · 16/12/2007 10:36

keep whittling
only use ones that are good photos (well-composed, lit etc, everyone looking good, no redeye) as well as being of seminal moments.

PIL gave me an album of dh growing up as a wedding present - 40 pics from birth to graduation, every one a gem.

CharlieAndLolasMummy · 16/12/2007 17:22

mrsb that is...sensible advice. I must say, I got the edited highlights of dp's life to date from PIL-the-obsessive-camercordias for my effing THIRTIETH birthday and I was...not overwhelmed

frank, ack how did you know it was me ? I was disguising my posting style and everything. Am keeping fingers xed for scan for you.

I was hoping someone would just say "ah yes, gargantuan, linen bound scrap books are on 3 for £10 at Tescos." .

oh arse there should have been more smilies in there.

of course you can "speak" to me, I supose I am just shocked at how crap I am at subfurterge.

well that is what I meant, it seemed like I was not meant to know who you are and that other people were not meant to know either

so I don't know how to address you

why are you hiding, anyway? I am sorry if I have blundered in with big clumsy feet about it

pollywollybauble · 17/12/2007 02:11

it would probably be a bit expensive for that many photos but some of the photo developing places will make them into nice glossy books where you can add captiion/choose backgrounds etc....friend had a lovely one done for about £20 at boots i think

CharlieAndLolasMummy · 17/12/2007 07:02

oh aaargh here is the thing

have been outed in rl, and community is small and my comments at times unfortunate.

but cannot give up MN addiction.

So am in quandry.

Thanks polly, Snapfish is scared of all these photos though, and I am scared of how much it all costs...

Am not sure how to handle it really.

charlieandlola who?

Katymac · 17/12/2007 08:31

Well there were nice black ring bound books with really thick paper on 3 for 2 at Tescos last week.....does that help?

pollywollybauble · 17/12/2007 23:16

are they digital photos?
could you run them in a digital photo frame?
