Need bigger and better sewing box (es)!

Atm I have a sewing corner in my bedroom, since we've decorated DH has insisted I keep it tidy.

I have had this sewing box for a few years but am fed up with it, not enough room, silly trays won't go back in and slide off all the time.

Where can I get a decent system to store scissors/bobbins/ MANY reels of cotton/ other sewing bits'n' pieces? Ideally it would be nice to look at too.

I was thinking of getting some fabric-covered boxes from Paperchase, but really you do need compartments so I'd have to divide them internally - could be done I guess. The reels of thread are the main problem!

Those padded-basket-weave sewing boxes don't really appeal either, they would be nothing like big enough.

what do you use?

Have you seen the beautiful German wooden ones? I saw loads in Germany but I'm sure you can similar ones over here?

They have lots of draws that pull out with lots of compartments. Some are really ornatally carved etc. Will try to find somewhere that does them over here.
