Christmas stockings

Does anyone have (or know where I could find online)a template for making my own Christmas stockings? All the websites I've been to say really helpful things like "cut out the shape of a stocking".... which is not much help for someone whose artistic tendencies are few and far between (although I can sew!) I want them to be big enough for presents for 2 small boys (i.e. not to hang on Xmas tree) but not so huge that Santa will have to remortgage his house to fill it.
I hope some of you crafty Mners can help me!

How about taking a large sock to the library and photocopying it onto A3 or A2 size paper. If you enlarge to something like 300% or 400% that should be big enough.
