What to make from old oven gloves

I have 2 sets of oven gloves that were very pretty but are now really manky. If I cut the ends off I'd have a couple of rectangles of quilted fabric that is still looking nice. Any ideas on what to make from them? I'd thought about a gauntlet style oven glove but I don't really think a single one would be much use. All Mr Google comes up with is recovering them which I don't really fancy. Does anyone have any bright ideas?

Glasses sleeve/case?

Thanks @NigellaSeed I don't think I'd use a tea cosy (not sure I have a teapot!) @CheeseMaiden it is quite a bit of fabric for a glasses case but I suppose I could make a few!

Do you drink coffee - if so would a cafetière warmer work? I've also thought that something insulated should help keep wine bottles chilled while on the table.

Or would it work if you made them into a patchwork trivet? I don't know if they'd get burnt if they have a pan just sat on them, or if one would need to double layer them?

A roll up cutlery storage thing for taking camping?

Reusable microwave heat pack? (Rice stuffed)

A bag in which to store reusable bags?

Peg bag?
