Talk to me about air dry clay - it's getting too dry to work with?

It's very hard and I can't kneed it

So adding water didn't help

It's all going wrong

Oh dear, I don't know. I was going to suggest spraying it with water.

From Google, it says "If the clay becomes too dry to work, knead some water into to it with your hands, being careful to add the water in very small increments until the clay is workable again"
