I’m looking to replace my 20+ year old Brother sewing machine. The tension is knackered on it despite being serviced, it couldn’t be sorted and it now needs to retire.
Budget is around £200-300 but could go higher for the right machine.
I’m very much a hobby sewer/sewist so it doesn’t need to be heavy duty. I don’t particularly want computerised unless the experts out there really recommend it.
I’ve narrowed it down to the Janome J3-24 (£279) and the John Lewis JL220 (£180). Janome make the John Lewis machine and they look quite similar - any experts able to give any advice please?
