Where is the best place online to get fairly cheap wool or yarn? I can find plenty of low priced wool but delivery seems extortionate and I only really need a few balls.

I like Wool Warehouse.

Preferably I go to my local yarn shop but if there’s a specific brand they don’t stock I’ll use Wool Warehouse.

I buy the stuff in poundland. Not washed it yet so cant comment on that. I dont really think it's a lot cheaper metre for metre than style craft dk to be honest which you can get in most places and is excellent. I just like the poundland stuff as the colours are fun and I can pick it up where ever I am if I run out whilst away from home

I use LoveCrafts all the time. They have loads of coupons online and I usually get one for between 10-30% off. First timers get one for 15% off.

The Stylecraft yarns are good, worsted/Aran weight which I buy for crocheting are really nice and come in loads of colours.
Paintbox yarns are also great.

Try your local charity shops- I often manage to pick up good quality wool for pennies!
