Christmas gifts for our loved ones.

Last year I knitted/ crocheted for months to give everyone some thing hand made for Christmas.
This year I'm making soap, and shampoo bars. A lot less time consuming , and not saying I've made them either. As the alpaca mosaic slippers apparently made excellent dog toys!
Any one got any good ideas, or horror stories about Christmas gifts?

Sounds like you've got it covered!

My only "diy" type idea is a calendar with family photos. Haven't done it yet.

Over the course of Christmas and birthdays one year I gave my BIL, SIL and niece matching homemade aprons as they love cooking together. Seemed popular.

Last year I made two of my SILs shoulder bags, never heard anything about them which did make feel a little sad. I think non-crafters don't always understand how much love, time and energy goes into a make.

The big "winner" last year were beeswax wraps, no one realised I made them.

I agree about the time factor, when people tell me I could sell my crafts they always look a bit surprised when I give the a minimum wage valuation not including the price of materials.

For those who won't attend family gathering I'll be doing short Christamas videos instead of sending them usual cards (which seem dull and are actually pretty wasteful Confused). There are Christmas slideshow makers like Smartshow 3d and Slides, guess I'll be combining. Maybe some handmade soap for those who doesn't have it stockpiled yet Grin
