Best embroidery kits?

I’ve got a friend who has requested an embroidery kit as a birthday present for a big birthday. She has some sewing experience but v little embroidery knowledge. I have none of either! How do I know which kits are good? They range from £7.99 - £40+!

I don’t mind paying if it’s good but I don’t know what to look for. Do you have any suggestions?

I've bought 4 kits from Sara at www.pixelsandpurls.co.uk/ and they've all been absolutely lovely: really beautiful designs, clear instructions and high quality materials. She does video tutorials too I think. She also sells needle minders which I now can't live without! I can't recommend enough - and you'd be supporting a small business too. I think most kits are about £20 ish and arrive beautifully packaged. I'm a big fan!

I get mine of Amazon. They come with I study, thread needles etc brilliant. Range from beginners to experts
