Cross stitch advice

I want to make this sampler for my wedding next year-

But what is zweigart aida? I usually just do sets with 14 count aida. I am not familiar with terms used in cross stitch.

Zweigart is just a brand name for the type of aida,I believe.
If you can do a little cross stitch then you can do a big one-same technique ,more counting
12/14/16/18 count just refers to the size of the little 'squares' in the aida.

Oh thanks! I htought it might be a specific type of aida because the colour makes it looks like linen or something? Is 16 smaller squares?

Yes,it refers to 'squares' per inch.
Aida comes in loads of colours so it might well have a linen-y hue to it.

smurfgirl - i used to work as a designer for anchor, i think if you've managed to stitch the backstitch on the tatty teddy design, you will be able to manage that wedding sampler fine

there always used to be loads of complaints about the backstitch on those bears, but we were never able to simplify it as the license company wouldn't let us

Yes it is a nightmare - loads of odd angles etc, I don't think mine is perfect at all!
