Is anyone here Who works with resin able to tell me if a printed paw print. (ie still on card) could be made into a mould? I know actual paws etc are pushed into something to make a mould but is there a way of doing this I wonder?

Is it like an image, ie 2d?
Is it possible to either cut around the shape, impress the shape into a silicone mold making kit then use that for resin, so you get the same shape
Or,
Do the above then use the actual cut out print in the base of the resin mold.

Sorry hit post.
They sell the silicone mould making kits on amazon. I use them and resin quite a bit.

Hi yes it is literally her wee paw print the vet sent us. It’s coming up to two years since we lost her.
I could maybe try that thanks x

If it is just a flat print, I don't see how you'd get a 3D mould from it.

Assuming the ink is not going to run when you put resin on it, I'd go for encasing that in resin like a paperweight.

Yeah that might be the way to go. I found something interesting the other day. Vinyl that puffs up when heat set. Don’t know if it would work too but I’ll give it a go. Just looking for a nice way to show it off x
