I am going through arts and crafts to finish off. Found the above in the cupboard. The original picture chart is complicated and it will not work out well as a first time project. Any tips ?Does the wool become frayed once cushion is used? Does it become a mess? Do I have to use wool from the kit? Or will any comparable wool do? Planning on doing varied sized stripes. Enjoying it . Anyone done rag rugs .What is your experience of these ?Thankyou.

I made a latch hook rug once. It’s lasting fine. It was (mostly) wool rather than acrylic.
The problem with using a mixture of wools is (a) needs to be same thickness, and (b) will be a batch to cut it all to the right length.

I’d like to try rag rug, but never have!
