Talk sewing machines to me

Looking to upgrade my Singer Tradition to something that can withstand bulkier fabrics.

I make hair accessories, bibs, bow ties etc so whilst I don't need anything amazingly industrial, I do need something that can handle bulkier fabrics.

Preferably not more than £250

You might find if you stretch to about £300 you can go for a better quality non computerised machine like say Janine 725, Husqvarna Emerald etc.

I got an excellent Janome for that price from sewingmachines.co.uk a few years ago. Excellent service too. If you contact them with what you’re looking for they’ll probably find you exactly what you need.

Are you wanting to stay modern or consider vintage? Many older machines were built to sew multiple layers of leather so would probably be good for you?
