Friendship bracelet technique

I am a seasoned friendship bracelet maker but for the life of me I cannot work out this technique! My DDs have been given a kit each and I'm bamboozled. There's 6 thick satin like threads doubled over it's abour long enough for the bracelet including loop and tie. And 6 very thin (almost just a single strand of embroidery thread) and very long threads wound round a cardboard holder. I had a baffled 8 year old and me her equally baffled mother at it all afternoon and then me again this evening but it doesn't make sense (or look at all like the pictures on the front). And even what I can fathom looks dreadful. Can anyone help please?

The instructions aren't very helpful are they?! I'm sure there seem to be steps missing or threads appearing from nowhere.

Absolutely! It would help at the very least if it was in colour. And the photos on the front show white thread but there's no white with the set Confused

Picture 2 seems to have 2 threads doubled (so 4 working ends) but by 3 there seem to be 5 ends. Also, you don't seem to do anything with the two ends that go out to the right yet they vanish by the end 🤔

I think your best bet is to google some other bracelet instructions and use the threads to make those instead!

@SoupDragon I think we've come to the same conclusion. The instructions are unintelligible for adults!

I did search for videos but I wasn't sure what this particular technique (end result) might be called and generic 'friendship bracelet videos' didn't show anything that looked like this.

That's what you get for £2.60!
