How much yarn for a small baby blanket?

I want to crochet a small baby blanket, the size you'd use to tuck round a newborn in a pram or pushchair, around 60cm x 80cm
I'll be using Sirdar Snuggly DK and the Attic24 Cupcake Stripe pattern, though probably with only 3 colours rather than loads!
How much yarn will I need? I'm more used to knitting rather than crochet and my only experience with crochet is that it tends to eat yarn!

I used 8 colours in my most recent baby blanket which I think was slightly larger than the size you want (I don't have it any more so can't measure it!). I had a small amount left from each of the balls so it was slightly less than 880m of yarn!

Nice, thank you!
