I am making a memory bear for my DS 21st birthday. I have bought buttons with shanks as per the pattern. It just says "sew on eyes" after the bear is fully made. I don't know how to do it! I want to do it after he is stuffed as I want that indented look and thought I could sew between the two bittons to pull them in but I don't think that will work. He will be made of sweatshirt material so can't sew through his head. Can anyone help? I know buttons are not child safe but my lad is too grown up to chew his eyes these days.
