I was lucky enough to be given one of these for Christmas but don't really know where to start!

Any tips?

Cut some shapes in paper - pretty things that might sprinkle on a table
Cut and fold an envelope
Cut and fold a card box & lid

If you have vinyl then cut some stickers, a ‘statement’ or name for a notebook, t shirt etc
Ditto with a piece of fabric & stick or iron it onto something

Move on to making elements for card making

I have an Explore Air... I made a free 3D T-Rex head from the library on the app

Loads of fb groups for this and YouTube tutorials, try Jennifer maker. I got one just before Christmas and I love it!

Thank you, I tried the sample project that came in the box but it didn't seem to explain very much.

I'll have a watch of some YouTube videos and see if I can do a bit more. I'm a hobbyist rather than trying to make things to sell at the moment but I want to make sure it's not a wasted investment!

I think I'd like one of these, but I don't really know what you can make with it!

I've had to wing it a bit with miners some things didn't seem very intuitive. I used it to size up a small toy dog pattern into a draught excluder though which was very satisfying.

Miners = mine as

🙄

I got one on Black Friday - I love it. Wall decals? Printed T Shirts? Card making? You can customise just about anything.

Try the official Cricut uk blog. OfficialCricutblog dot co dot uk. There are some tips for getting started. And follow the Instagram account as they share tips there too.
