How does this work? If you pay the membership, are all the courses free or do you have to pay for those as well with the membership just giving you access?

I got the $5 membership which lets me view as many classes as I want during my years subscription but not own any to view after my subscription is up. I really don't think their business model is sustainable tbh but for $5 it doesn't matter if they fold.

They're doing an $8 offer at the minute where you get to keep a couple of classes to view after your subscription is up I think.

SoupDragon · 28/12/2020 23:39

I may well go for the $5 one... I can't see that I'd need to save any classes as I am so awesome I will remember how to do stuff 🤣

I can't see how it's sustainable either. Hasn't it already folded once? I suppose they may be using existing classes so there would be no cost there.

Yeah, I don’t really see the benefit of keeping them, but I keep getting emails offering me anything from 20-60% the price if I want to buy any which is why I’m expecting them to fold again!

The $5 offer popped up as an advert for me on Instagram yesterday so they’re still doing it.

Is it just me or is their search function really bad? Is there supposed to be an easy way to find things or do you just have to tediously scroll through everything?

Yeah, it's shockingly bad. The easiest way I've found is to use the all class link then filter by craft and then search for keywords within that. It's not great though.

I'm also annoyed that they have stored my credit card with no way of deleting it.

Ah, you can cancel your subscription anytime to turn off the auto renewal if that helps. It might delete it then. I saved the info when I signed up but haven't done it yet

Hassle Free Automatic Renewal: By accepting membership, my benefits will automatically renew annually until I tell you to stop. At any time I may cancel my membership and get a refund for unused months or opt out of automatic renewal by contacting customer service at 1 (888) 891-7203 or [email protected]. By clicking Complete Order, I authorize that the card I provide will be charged annually at the then current membership rate.

SoupDragon · 29/12/2020 16:03

I've requested that they turn auto renewal off (found that in the FAQ!)

Hi @SoupDragon, thinking about doing the cheap sign-up offer for Craftsy ($2.49) for a year....I saw you'd contacted them to stop the auto-renewal and wondered if you'd heard back from them ? Is it nw turned off ? Can you see on your account details that it won't auto-renew ? Thanks !

SoupDragon · 09/02/2021 17:41

They did it really quickly.

My membership page now says:

PREMIUM Membership

Membership Start Date: December 29, 2020

Membership Expire Date: December 29, 2021

So, no mention of autorenewal - I'm sure it said it before!

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 09/02/2021 17:43

If I look under the "card on file" section of my account it says that my membership is not set to auto renew and the card details are no longer there.
