Long evening coat?
A dress?
Maybe something to wear with a black corset?
A waistcoat?
A cloak?

I am dithering - and I have about 8 patterns out

Long red velvet evening coat sounds delicious.

Where would you wear it? Black corset would be perfect with it

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 09/12/2020 20:44

Are you Maria Von Trapp?

Has to be a coat...

KatyMac · 09/12/2020 20:44

Oh I just make stuff I don't often wear it GrinHmmConfused

I would make a hooded red velvet cloak and waft about the house in it instead of a dressing gown.

A coat. Curtains are probably too heavy for a dress. A waistcoat wouldn’t make the most of the lovely way the fabric will hang and a coat will get more use than a cloak.

I think i have 6 sets.....fb marketplace and a £5 Blush

Coat - ok ill start cutting out tomorrow

Might make a lined dressing gown as well, I like the inside to be soft!

Oh, this! I quite like the idea of striding through pristine white snow in one too.
SoupDragon · 10/12/2020 11:08

But yes, a coat is a far more practical idea for the 21st century!

onyourway · 10/12/2020 11:14

A red velvet dressing gown lined with fleece

KatyMac · 10/12/2020 17:38

Dress cut out now, and it looks like I can fit 2 toddler dresses too!

Bloody big curtains!

This is so beautifully eco friendly! I am finding it very vicariously satisfying Smile

KatyMac · 12/12/2020 14:05

And it's fun!!

Coat nearly finished dress cut out and children's dresses planned!

Not done nearly as well as I'd hoped

How's your daughter getting on, @KatyMac? I often think of her and wonder whether we'll see her on TV one day.

KatyMac · 12/12/2020 16:54

Aell she is on the BBC this Christmas but not professionally Wink

She has struggled with work cos of covid but she was on a tour last summer and has a show coming up next year (covid pending)

Thanks for asking

HollowTalk · 12/12/2020 17:10
