I'm not sure if anyone will read this but I've completely lost my sew-jo, made some clothing, bowl cozies and the like the beginning of this year but since then I just can't seem to get my head into anything does anyone have any patterns or ideas/suggestions to give me a kick start again? I just seem to get lost browsing for ideas and never actually start a new project but I really do want to get back into sewing!

Bags can be a good thing, especially at this time of year as gifts. Start off with a pattern or two, then start adding your twist to them. I'm always being told what needs to be done so i don't really have that problem....would be nice to sew for myself at times though lol

Gift bag like a Japanese rice bag or
Gift cube
Tree cones
Christmas bunting

quick and easy with an impressive finish is what you need to get going again

I regularly lose my sew jo. I've got a corduroy Hinterland dress that just needs a hem but it's been hanging unfinished for months! If there's nothing you need, don't force it.

Little projects like a zipped pouch, or some Christmas decorations can be nice to make as they are rewarding seeing progress so quickly.
