i am thinking of trying to give it a go because at least i can have it taylor made for me so the theory is that it is the most comfortable thing ever!!

Just wondered if anyone had done it and had any good tips- i am planning on giving one a go in fleece and then progressing the design so eventually i have a whole wardrobe of them!!

I made a ring sling in black jersey, and it was brilliant. I used wooden rings though which are a bit slippy now dd2 heavier. Loved it though, she could sleep so comfortably in it when she was little.
Good luck.
Have you looked at this book, there are some tips in here for making your own.
Also remember to use jersey/knitted fabric, and not woven

this was a good site, as was this one. You can navigate the second site using the box on the left if it's not immediately obvious.

You need to make sure the stretchiest bit of the fabric is across the short width of your sling and not along the length.
