making soap easy???

lovely kiddie crafted, hand made soap, wrapped in tissue, given out to classroom assistants and teachers for Xmas.... that's my idea. Of course, if i knew how to even start to make it it'd be more of a go-er! I am picturing picking organic rosemary & lavender etc from the graden and bunging that in. Is this a possibility, do you think?

how interesting - i've never seen or heard anything like it. It does look lovely. Googled soap making and it does sound like a right faff, so perhaps this is the answer, or do i make chutney and have done with it?
