Substitute yarn for Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran?

Sorry if this has been posted before!

I'm going back to crochet after several years as I want to make a blanket and found my favourite yarn from back in the day has been discontinued. What's a good dupe for Debbie Bliss Cashmerino? I loved that it was very smooth and soft, had a nice sheen to it and felt great against the skin. Plus was less snaggy than others!

I'd like to find something like that again (machine washable) that's in an Aran size.. It's hard when I'm stuck at home and can't feel the yarn myself to test... gahh

There is a good site called yarnsub.com that goes into detail about yarn substitutes. It should give you a good idea.

The millamia at lovecrafts looks the part, too.

I loved the Cashmerino Aran too!

I have actually been really impressed with the Women's Institute soft and smooth aran sold in Hobbycraft. A 400g ball is £10.50 and currently on 3 for 2. It's synthetic so I appreciate not an ideal sub but first started using it to make baby blankets which I could wash easily and not cry if it got ruined because I spent £100 on lovely yarn. It feels so smooth and has a lovely weight/slight sheen. It doesn't feel scratchy and cheap.

Thanks so much! I will check these out and maybe buy a ball or two, to check how they feel.
