Iron-on velvet edging - does such a thing exist?

BIG upfront disclaimer ... in no way can I be described as a sewer or even remotely crafty. Cub badges are my limit. So, i need a spot of help...

My DD's beloved 'cosy blanket' is looking very sorry for itself and it starting to disintegrate around the edges. It's made of soft cotton with a thin layer of wadding in the middle. It's roughly cot blanket size.

I thought i could edge it with some sort of wide binding or ribbon. I don't have a sewing machine and so it would need to be iron-on . Does such a thing exist?? My Google searches have proved fruitless so far. Thank you!

I've never seen iron-on velvet edging; I'm not saying it doesn't exist though. Velvet doesn't like irons very much, and I'm not sure how it would wash anyway. Would something like this work?

Ah I see your point about velvet not ironing well. Thank for the link - I'll take a look.
