Folksy or Etsy?

Any ideas which is best? I've got things to sell. Used to do pre-Xmas craft fairs but obviously now they are not running where I live. I was on Folksy for a while but didn't sell so wondering it Etsy is better. I don't have many items to sell yet- only around 30- and for a while I closed down my own website as I wanted to get some better photos. So, 2nd question, can you still sell successfully just uploading images on Folksy or Etsy?

Bumping this because I have a similar question - I want to start selling a few items online. I'm happy to do my own marketing for now as it's pretty small scale and will be selling to friends of friends. Would people recommend Etsy or Folksy in this situation? (or should I just make a gallery in Wordpress or similar and have a paypal link?). I'm trying to keep it simple, and cheap for now until I see how it goes. Thanks for any info and shared experiences!

I’ve had an Etsy shop since Sept 2018, and it’s doing ok - although mostly in October/November. I sell at craft fairs as well, and before Etsy, sold on eBay, which was ok, but not the right platform.

About three weeks ago I started shipping to the USA and Canada from my Etsy shop, not really expecting any sales, but I’ve had quite a few.

I don’t think my own website would work for me, as people would only find it if I constantly advertised, and I’m too shy/self conscious to do that. I’ve got a Facebook page got my business but don’t really use it. I prefer the anonymity of Etsy.

There are millions of Facebook online craft fairs at the moment. Our local one is free, but otherwise I’ve seen are £5 or £10. Might be an option?
