Cheap dk cashmere yarn anywhere?!’

Does it exist?

I’m allergic to wool and want to make some xmas presents.

I’m sick of seeing ‘milk wool’ on eBay and Etsy does my head in, as no matter how many times l put dk in the search engine it always comes up with 4ply.

Love crafts is overpriced. Fed up searching.

Anyone help?

Rowan Cotton Cashmere is 15% cashmere and 85% cotton. That's the only one I could find without any wool content.

Yeah I’ve looked at that. But it’s a summer yarn really. This is for knitting Woolly Wormhead hats for Christmas presents!

Is alpaca any good as an alternative to cashmere? I did a search on wool warehouse and there’s nothing for cashmere in Dk that isn’t combined with wool or the cotton mentioned above, but there is 100% alpaca.

I don't think it exists really. Not unblended with wool at any rate.

Are you allergic to alpaca too? I know it doesn't have much memory and stretches out but if you got a blend of alpaca and silk or knitted a alpaca 4ply together with a stronger fiber 4ply to make DK that might work.
