Knitting patterns for older children?

DaisyWhoooo · 07/10/2007 11:04

My two older dses (7&5) keep pestering me to knit them something but all the patterns I've got are for babies or toddlers. Does anyone have a recommendation for books/patterns that might fit them?

TIA

Can you knit me a well behaved, diligent and respectful 13 year old, please?

There's a Debbie Bliss book that goes up to age 10, Family Knits I think it's called. Some of the old Rowan ones do older children's patterns too, but I don't know if they're still available.

I used to love the Phildar patterns and they are still around here Didn't quite look to see how you could get them.

I have Rowan Junior - I think I got it from Liberty although it is officially out of print - see it here: rowan junior Also Debbie Bliss junior knits. If you had a girl as well, then this is a nice book: Louisa Harding with some nice stripey jumpers .

I'll knit a teenager for you Desperatelywantingupgrade if you'll give me a pattern

go to john lewis. they hav e patterns, but they do tend to be very complicated ones. its much harder to find simple easy to do ones.
