Can anyone help with a crochet question?

I’ve been crocheting this year for the first time and follow online YouTube tutorials

I’ve tried doing written patterns but I struggle with them so stick to YouTube

I can make blankets, hats, leg warmers and general basics like rounds, tubes and squares

I’d like to make a set of baby trousers but can’t find a basic YouTube to follow

I tend to watch a tutorial and then adapt it if I want to add something different into it

Because I can make tubes could I in theory make two legs and then the body and connect them together?

Or do I need to start with the body and go into the legs without joining on?

I'm hoping this works - it's a Youtube video for crocheting doll's dungarees. Hopefully it will give you a starting point that will allow you to adapt the pattern to make baby trousers.
