Buttons, want you wisdom on colour

Have done all the finishing on my crochet dress here before I finished, got to shop for buttons tomorrow. Was thinking about putting coloured buttons, do you think this might be ott, would it be better to go for the grey tortoiseshell jobs?
What do YOU, clever ladies of the A&C's think?

My opinion is that if you want it to look "classy" put on shiny black ones or maybe crystal ones

If you want it to be more "funky" then mulit-coloured ones would do it

I went with your advice and got the big shiny black ones, they looked so classy and at 28mm they're big enough to be a 'statement'. Thank you.
Thought the crystal ones would be a 'bling' for me.
