I need a new sewing machine.

I have a Janone which replaced my trusty and ancient Singer some years ago. It is awful and the stitch tension is never right. I have been making face masks for my community and have decided I need a new machine. Can I have some recommendations? I am currently looking at the Singer Confidence 7465. Any good? Thanks.

Bernina.
Automatic tension. Not always perfect but mostly is. It's a bit too fancy for my current skills but I'm hoping will last me 20 years by which time I will be able to do some of the fancier things.

Watching with interest as my 25 year old sewing machine is not great with tension and I'm wanting to have a go at quilting!

I have to confess that I did a troubleshooting thing with it and it is now sewing perfectly so I am not going to buy a new one just yet!

Amazon

This is a surprisingly good machine. Pretty much a Brother knockoff. I've had it a few weeks, after having an old Jones 777 and it's been great.

@Tinuviel

My mum is an excellent and experienced quilter. She says Bernini, but will cost around £2000 to replace her current one. She has quilter friends who are happy with their Brother or Jenone machines, which are more like £500
