Getting an overlocker for my birthday, what do I need to know?

So, my DH has bought me an overlocker for my birthday, I got an email from DPD confirming the delivery with a picture of the box so it's in the house, I'm just not supposed to know about it.

So excited!

I've wanted one for ages but always found something else I need to spend the money on and it's gone on the back burner.

I know I want to make kids clothes for my DD, have made leggings and sweatshirts for her before but the finish isn't as neat with a sewing machine and a zig zag stitch on leggings isn't as long lasting as I'd like.

If you have any tips or online tutorials that I can add to my project list please drop them here. I have a month and a half to fill with planning before I get to actually play with my new toy.

This video - - inside curves and angles - game changer and even the Overlocker Technique Manual doesn't give it a mention
