Would a punch for card making work on felt?

I want to punch holes in felt, so I can put a different colour on the reverse. I do it already with scissors or a craft knife, but was wondering whether one of those die cut punches for card making would work. Before I go and buy one, what do you think?

Yes, they do, but sometimes it gets stuck in the puncher. So if you are doing 10 you might get 2 or 3 that are buggered.

I would use thin card with the felt on top and place it in the punch like that. Glad to help
