making a blanket for a raffle

I'm crocheting a blanket at the moment (Eastern Jewels, if anyone knows it). I'm enjoying doing it, and think it's really attractive. I was thinking of making a second one and offering it to a charity so they can raffle it.
Is this worth doing? Do you think a charity shop would be interested?

That's a beautiful blanket! I think you would be wise to contact some charities to ask them if they'd like a blanket to raffle, but I wouldn't take it to a charity shop as it is quite likely to be sold for far less than it was worth.

You could ask MN Woolly Hugs if they would like to auction it in their Christmas craft sale.

You could email the charity of your choice and ask if they would be interested. That would be better than taking it to a charity shop I think.
